> ℹ️ - SCADA Administrators can create, modify, and remove site templates.

The tags that are displayed on the Site Details page are controlled by the Site Type Template. Each device type has it's own template. If you have administrator privileges, the Site Types option will be available in the menu and you can modify the template for a site type.

# Creating a Site Type Template

Create site templates in the Site Templates screen. To start creating a site template, choose the site type from the dropdown menu.

1. *Select a site type to edit*
2. *Tap ****+ Add card**** or choose a card type from the drop-down to create a new container*
3. *Card position*
4. *Choose a container icon*
5. *Enter a container title*
6. *Choose whether to display the container expanded or collapsed*
7. *Specify whether to show the ****Search**** card.*
8. *Add tags or attributes to the card*
9. *Manage images and add them to cards*
10. *Drag tags and attributes from the Available Fields list*
11. *Save your changes.*

*Configuring the display for a site type*

Tags and attributes are organized into containers and can be displayed as text, gauges, or charts.

- To create a new text field container, click the **+ Add card** button
- To choose a graphical container, use the drop-down to choose the card type.

Now give the container a name. You can also tap the icon button beside the container name to choose an icon for the container.

# Adding Tags and Attributes

To add tags or attributes to the containers, drag and drop the tags from the list of available fields and arrange them in a container.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ - Tags and attributes are listed together in alphabetical order. You can tell which are tags because they will have both a description and a tag name while attributes have only a description.
> ℹ️ - You can add tags and attributes to multiple containers (but you can’t add duplicates to the same container - if you can’t drag an item into a container, check to make sure that you haven’t already added it).
> ℹ️ - Any empty containers that don't contain any tags or attributes will not show up in the Site Details screen for this site type.

- To create a subgroup within a container, select a tag and choose **Convert to Secondary** from the tag menu. The tag will be grouped under the preceding primary tag. To reverse this, choose **Revert to Primary** from the tag menu.
- Use the **Show Expanded** toggle in a container to show the container expanded by default. Otherwise the container will be shown collapsed and users will need to click it to open it and view its contents.
- Drag the completed containers into whatever sequence you need or arrange them by specifying their position in the drop-down **Position** field at the top if each container.
- Click **Save** to save the template.

# Adding Images

You can add images to the top or bottom of cards. Images added to a template will appear on every site that uses the template.

> ℹ️ **Example**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ You can add branding to a card or add diagrams that clarify how tags and attributes are used.

View and manage images from the **Images** tab at the right of the Site Template screen.

## Upload a New Image to the Images tab

To upload an image, open the Images tab and click the **+ Add** button at the bottom right.

## Add a New Image

To add a new image, click the **Add Image** button at the bottom right of the screen. Any images you add will be available to add to any Site Template.

## Add an Image to a Card

When the Images tab is open, a drop zone will be visible at the top and bottom of each card.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If you can’t see the image drop zones, make sure you have the images tab open.

To add an image to a card, drag and drop it onto a drop zone.

## View, Replace or Delete Images

Use the image menu options to manage images:

- Click **View** to view the full-size image.
- Click **Replace** to update the image. This will update the image wherever it appears in a Site Template.
- Click **Delete** to delete the image. This will remove the image wherever it appears in a Site Template.

## Add an Image to a Card

# Graphical Card Types

There are two basic graphical card types:

- **Gauge card** - this can show data on a dial or as vertical or horizontal bars. Dials can only be used with a single tag while bar charts can display multiple tags with one bar per tag.
- **Chart card** - this shows data as a graph or bar chart and can display multiple tags. Each tag is displayed as a separate line or set of bars.

If there are alarm limits configured for the tag they will be indicated on the card along with the current alarm status.

## Configuring a Gauge

## Configuring a Chart

A Chart card is configured in a similar way to a Gauge card but there are some additional configuration options.

# The Search Card

The Search card can be added to allow users to search for any available fields including those you have not already added to a card. You can enable or disable the Search card using the **Display Search Card** switch.
