> ℹ️ Order messages were formerly called *Notes*.

Customers can add a message to an order at any time in the Messages panel on the Order Details or Order Create screen. These messages will be visible to Planners viewing the order in DMS and in the Order Details screen.

To create a message for an order, open the **Messages** panel and enter the text of your message. 

If you have created any messages the number of messages will be indicated on the Messages panel header.

## View Messages for an Order

> ℹ️ You cannot delete or edit messages that are attached to an order.

You can view order messges in the Messages section of the Order Details screen and on the [Messages](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NC/pages/2628354114) page.

> ℹ️ Order notifications may be stored as messages on the order (this depends on how the message type is configured).
