# Modify a Reading

Choose **Modify** from a meter reading menu to adjust the *usage* recorded for a meter reading. You must enter a reason for the change and can also add a note. 

# View the Reading Audit Log

Choose **Audit** from a meter reading menu to view the audit log for the reading.

> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ An audit entry is created when any changes are made to a meter reading including to any readings, usages, reasons, or notes.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ You can also see meter reading activities on the Site Changes screen. (This means that you can still view logged activities when a reading has been deleted from the Meter Reading list.)

Details stored include :

| **Property** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Action | Type of change. |
| Previous value | Usage value before the change was made. This will be blank if the usage was not changed. |
| New value | Usage value after the change was made. |
| Changed by | User who made the change. |
| Date | Date and time of the change. |
| Reason | Recorded reason for the change. |
| Note | Any note that was added or modified for the change. |
| Entry method | How the entry was made. |
