Orders at unmetered outlets supply a fixed volume determined by the area being irrigated and the planting configured for the area.

> ℹ️ - You must specify a **Refill Point** for a crop if you are configuring a planting for an unmetered outlet.
> ℹ️ - If there are no plantings configured you’ll be alerted that you can’t place an order.

Placing an order is similar to placing an order at a metered outlet (see [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NC/pages/2868772865](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NC/pages/2868772865)).  To place an order at an unmetered outlet you specify:

- The water account and outlet
- The planting
- The start time, and the order duration.

The flow rate and volume are calculated automatically using the crop properties for the planting.

# Modifying an Order

You can modify your order on an unmetered outlet in the same way as for a metered outlet (see [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CC/pages/1993801729](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CC/pages/1993801729)) except that you can’t change the planting or the flow rate for the order.
